Hello, Modern Quilters! 

Join us Tuesday, October 24th at 5:30 p.m. in person or by Zoom. The meeting will be at the Christ Lutheran Church on the corner of Hershey and Fort Jesse in Normal, IL.  The Zoom link will be posted a couple of days prior to the meeting.  

5:30 pm Social Time.  Arrive early and be busy: Pay dues ($45), Library, Fabric Raffle, Survey, Snacks, Friends… and more.

6:00 pm:  Fall into Fall’s October Program

This month you’re in for a treat (and maybe some tricks!!).  Learn new techniques, get some new ideas, and get inspired to be creative with our own guild members.  Gary Riss will show you a way to make “Precise Mitered Binding”.  Joann Briggs is going to show you “Just a Bit of Embroidery”.  Melissa Kirk is going to share a little EPP (English Paper Piecing) with you.  Mary Rose Hill has some surprises if you want to make some “Fabric Coasters”.  Would you like a neck wallet to hold your name tag, your phone, a credit card, a hotel room key, and/or some cash?  Nancy Powell will share a pattern that can be customized just for you.  So, make sure to put Oct. 24th  on your calendar and consider bringing some paper to take some notes!  (Any handouts will be available on the members page during the meeting!)

Show and Tell

Show us your Quilts at the meeting and/or … Our webmaster, Lisa Baerman, created a BNMQG Facebook Show and Tell Album for October for you to upload a picture of your work.  Whether or not you are showing your quilt at the meeting or joining by Zoom, it’s helpful to have your creation in the Album with comments from you.
