QuiltCon – Community Outreach Challenges

QuiltCon 2020 – San Antonio, TX

Focus was on text and the colors had to be black, white and gray.  Again we all did some paper piecing for the books.  Quilt was designed by Cindy R.  Quilting was done by Kathy M.  Kathy C.’s quilt won First Place in the Small Quilts category!  Way to go Kathy!

QuiltCon 2019 – Nashville, TN

Focus was tiny piecing!  We all learned a new skill.  Lots of 1″ paper pieced hearts went into our final quilt.  Quilt was designed by Nancy P. and assembled by guild members.  Quilting was done by Betty W.

QuiltCon East 2017 – Savannah, GA

June 2016

This is certainly a Work-In-Progress!!  The focus is on Scale, so we decided to use equilateral triangles to showcase this.  We made triangles of all sizes and then combined them to make even bigger triangles!!  Most triangles are constructed of low volume prints.  The many colors of the given palette are used as “shining gems” in the center of random triangles.  By deciding to use the vibrant teal as the background fabric,we reversed the expected! So interesting to see this quilt design evolve!

Upcoming Sewing Days:  Thurs. Aug. 4, Wed. July 6–see details below.  Come and be a part of this exciting, creative process with modern quilters!
