Quilt con is in February in Austin, Texas. Deadline for free registration to Quiltcon for MQG members is Nov 30. As a BNMQG member you are also a member of the Modern Quilt Guild.
Nancy talked about participating in the Quiltcon quilt swap. Deadline was 10/26.

Nancy talked about thread, cross wound or from side to side, stacked or straight vertical on post. Some use thread stand so the thread has time to unwind for horizontal thread.

Pat Messinger is doing the 2019-2020 BNMQG Modern Swap. Quilters turned in a sign up sheet. Those wanting to participate are asked to bring in a fat quarter (one of your favorite colors and or style) to the November meeting.
Laura Hartrick from the Chicago Modern Quilt Guild will be our speaker for November.
T-shirts were distributed at this meeting. There were a few left but have been spoken for. We are also looking into additional shirt orders, long sleeve and/or sweatshirt option. There is a minimum order we need to place to do this.

May 15 & 16 will be Rebecca Bryan from Bryan House Quilts will present Modern Triangles. Friday night will be lecture with Saturday, workshop.
Pat Silva talked about the Heartbeat quilts. We have enough blocks made from last years’ piecing for 14 more quilts. These will be integrated into heartbeat quilts and a new one will also be created. A sit and sew day for this is scheduled for November 16, 9-3 at Christ Lutheran.
Cindy R. discussed the charity quilt and the charity that it will go to.
There was a preview of part of the charity quilt. The theme this year is Text and other requirements are the only colors in the quilt are White, Black and Gray.
