We’ve made it through the holiday’s, only to experience a whopper of a snow storm.
I’m looking forward to our January Quilting Journeys member trunk show. Bring your first (or one of your early quilts) and your most recent one. We will share our journey with the goal of inspiring each other to stretch our wings and try new techniques or perhaps just improve our current ones.
Bring your dollars for the fabric raffle. Remember there was no Block Lotto due for January, but I’m sure Sue will have a great block to introduce that will be due in February.
Our Modern Round Robin will start, so if you signed up, please bring your center to exchange. Something new and exciting for our guild!
The guild will be raffling off the guild’s Cheryl Ann’s Design Wall. It is 72 x 72. Retail value is $100. Chances will be $5 each. We will be selling tickets in January, February and March. Winner will be drawn at the March Meeting.
With winter in full swing and the church door being locked at 6pm, we want to ensure you are not standing out in the cold very long. If you know you will late, text a member and let them know approximately when you will be arriving and we will do our best to get to the door and let you in. If you send a text and do not get a response, please text the second number as the other individual may be participating in the meeting. If you have suggestion on how to better handle, please share with an executive board member.
Lastly, we are looking to expand our committees. Please be thinking about helping to move the guild forward by serving on a newly formed committee. Information will be shared at the meeting.
GEMS of the Prairie Quilters are taking a bus to the Chicago Quilt Festival on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Everyone is welcome. Bring a check for $47 made payable to GEMS to the January 22 BNMQG meeting. Viv Browning will be there to give you the particulars. Please contact Viv, if you have questions.
