Saturday March 19 is National Quilting Day.  The beautiful Kona solids for our service sewing day are here! We’ll be using these and all the donated blocks our generous members make at home.  Those who expressed an interest in the sew in received an email with all the details. Want to know more?  email me! bnmqg@gmail.com

The MQG is hosting a creative webinar on March 22, Freedom from Perfection and Procrastination.  If you haven’t done a webinar yet you should try it! When you are participating live the viewers can ask questions which are answered during the webinar. You can register here. If you can’t be at the live webinar you can log in to the MQG site a few days later and find it and other great webinars under resources.

On Saturday April 16 we’ll have a Service Sew In at Christ Lutheran Church. We’ll be looking for volunteers for set up/take down, hospitality, etc. Details at our March meeting.

Threads of Time in Danville is hosting Modern Quilt Relish on April 22 and 23 for a lecture and workshop. All the details here.

Member Penny W is teaching a collage quilting class for kids! It’s a free 3-hour class on  Saturday, May 14 at Western Avenue Community Center for kids between 12-19 years old. It’s about collaging with fabric, using hand-sewing and fusibles. Each participant will be making a quilt – top, batting & back. All the details here.

  1. Members, the webinar is also the same night as our monthly meeting. Please keep this in mind if you register, as the webinar starts at 8 PM and you need to sign in a few minutes early, with the fact that sometimes our meetings last till 8 or later. Remember, we can always watch a video of it, granted it will not be live, but we do have that benefit with now being members of the National Modetn guild.
