The speaker was our own Kathy Cook whose presentation was entitled Big Stitch Quilting. She spoke on the origins, uses, supplies, techniques and her practices with it. Kathy showed many slides of her quilts that include big stitch quilting as well as how she has used it on clothing. Kathy also brought many of her quilts for everyone to get a close up view of the stitching. Kathy offered to conduct a hands on workshop to help some members become more acquainted with it. As dates and times are determined, there will be a Sign Up Genius available. She will be offering a few different times for small groups of 10. We really appreciate Kathy sharing her expertise with the guild!
