Well, it looks as though we are on the downhill side of winter, at least for the next week.  Come on SPRING!!

At our March 26th meeting we will hear about 2019 Quilt Con and see pictures of all the wonderful quilts.  Speaking of quilts, we will be raffling off 6 complimentary one day passes to the International  Quilt Festival Chicago.  The Festival is March 28-30 in Schaumburg.  There is no cost to enter the raffle, however you need to attend the March meeting to enter your name.

Sign-up for the Mini Quilt Challenge using the 2019 Kona Color of the Year “Splash” will start.  We are asking for $1 Donation to participate.  Completed quilts will be due at our July Meeting and will hang at Kelly’s Bakery the month of August.

Don’t forget we are also raffling off a wonderful Portable Design Wall.  Chances are $5.  Must remember to bring cash, must remember to bring cash!

As we do each month we will have our Fabric Raffle, a great way to build your Modern Fabric Stash!

Our Round Robin continues, so bring those to pass along to the next person in your group.

Remember to bring your Block Lotto blocks.  You still have time to make a block or two.  The more you make the better your chances are to win!  The directions are here.

Last month we talked about how more than 50% of your local annual dues goes to the national Modern Guild.  By belonging to our guild, you are also a member of the National Guild.  Two guilds for the price of one!  But are you utilizing our Blog and the National website?  If you are, GREAT!  If you are not, then perhaps our program this month will help you increase your utilization!  Come prepared to learn how to access and navigate!

And last but not least, we have a Nominating Committee in place, so please be thinking about how you can help serve our guild; so when they come a knocking you can say “yes”, I would love to help!  Without volunteers to serve, the guild will wither and no one wants that!  We have too much fun!
