Hello Modern Quilters,
If you missed the meeting last night you have some catching up to do! There are all kinds of exciting things happening in the guild.
Cindy R gave a program on modern paper piecing and had lots of tips and examples to share. Here’s one that lots of people were interested in. Check this link for a free download of the pattern.
The 2016 Modern Mystery Quilt challenge has begun!
Ann G designed this herself and told us a little bit about it last night. You’ll find the first set of directions on the member’s page at the top. (I sent a separate email with the password for this page.)
Lori F is our March Member Spotlight quilter. Read about her here.

Carrie won the Fabric Raffle! She’s a lucky quilter!

Block Lotto winners, Lori L and Marilyn donated all 30 of their blocks to out service project! Thank you both!
The new block for Lotto is a minimalist disappearing 9 patch. Here are the directions. I love the colors!
The latest news on the service project….members donated 56 blocks last night! We now have a total of 261 blocks ready to be made into quilts. That’s pretty impressive considering we started less than a month ago! At the Service Sew In on April 16 we’ll begin sewing them together. We’ll meet from 9 to 3 at our regular meeting place, Christ Lutheran Church. Email me if you have questions or can help with set up or goodies.
And of course I saved everyone’s favorite for last…Show and Tell! There were finished UFOs, lotto quilt finishes, Project 48 blocks, bags, dyed fabric and more!
