The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m. in person and on Zoom by president Kelly C. She welcomed the members and began by talking about Raffle Ticket Sales. She encouraged members to continue sales and announced dates for sales at quilting locations: May 3 at Indigo Quilt Shop in Lincoln with Jean B. and that Laurie S. is available with more tickets for sale and collecting tickets sold as well as funds received. The Deadline for selling tickets is in July.
The bylaws changes were posted and members given ballots. Zoom members were also given an opportunity to vote. The bylaw changes passed with a vote of 35 to 23. Kelly C. announced that if any members have questions or suggestions, they should share them with Pam T. or Jean B.
Because the scheduled speaker was unable to attend, Leslie S. put together a discussion of traditional
quilts that could be made with a modern twist by adjusting negative space, asymmetry, improve,
alternate grid, minimalism, scale, color. Members showed some of their traditional quilts and the
members suggested possible ways to modernize them. There were some technical issues, but the crew
worked to adjust in order to correct the problems.

guild’s total funds are closer to $3 0,000. Carole F. reported our current membership is 117.

Stormy H. is the chair of the Nomination Committee. She spoke to the group, encouraging the members
to contact her if they are interested in becoming a member of the board. It would be very helpful to
have members who would like to serve in some manner to let the committee know.
Nancy P. reminded the makers of mini quilts that she needs more submissions in order for the quilts to be accepted for a quilt travel program. The evening followed with show-and-tell from the membership.

First, the full-sized quilts were shown (ending at 8:21) , and following that the mini-quilts that had been hung for display were shared.
