Present Vivian thanked Gary R. and Sue W. for completing the recent audit of the guild books as set forth in the by-laws.

Our Librarian, Valerie S., was also at the meeting with the BNMQG library. This is a great FREE resource for our members. Just a $5 deposit to check out a book. Once the book is returned, you deposit is returned to you. We have a partial list on our Member’s page (it is in the process of being updated).

In the absence of Stormy, Vice President Linda L. thanked the nominating committee and presented the proposed slate of officers for the coming year.  The nominating committee consisted of Stormy, Sally H.,  Pam L. and Laura W.  The slate of officers for 2025 is

  • President Kelly C.
  • Vice President Maria C.
  • Secretary Carol B.
  • Treasurer Laurie S.
  • At Large Member Pam T.
  • At Large Member Jean B.

It was  moved and seconded that the proposed slate of officers be accepted.  Motion passed

Laurie S. and Linda L. then explained the rules for the first game of the evening.   It was called “find someone who”….  It gave members a chance to find out a little more about other members.  Even though members did not have to answer honestly when asked questions, it was apparent that our guild is definitely made up of honest members.

Several games of bingo were played followed by a question and answer game seeing if members could match answers with others in their assigned group.

Needless To Say, it was a rather friendly competitive and rowdy group at times.   Thank you to Laurie and Linda for putting the games and prizes together.

Following the games, several members presented items for show and tell.   Those were:

Sheila R who showed several blocks she had completed from the MQG block studies program.  She also showed her wonky log cabin quilts. Sue W. presented a panel she recently quilted on her longarm. Connie B. showed her completed quilt from the mystery quilt program. Cheryl A. showed a table runner she completed.

Being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
