Christmas in July meeting recap

Submitted by Barb S., Secretary

It was Christmas in July at the Bloomington Normal Modern Quilt Guild meeting on July 25, 2023.  President Lisa B. welcomed the 55 members attending in person as well as the 10 members attending via Zoom.  Prior to the meeting delicious treats were provided by Ary A., Betty W., Paula M., and Ann U.

Membership chairman, Noemi, reported that we currently have 134 members.

Many hands make light work – we so appreciate our board members, committee chairs and committee members who do so much to bring us such great meetings!

Lisa briefly explained the reason the Board felt it necessary to increase membership dues to $45.00 per year.  She also reviewed the various services offered by BNMQG members and advertisers on our BNMQG web site. Renewals are due for advertising for the 2023-24 guild year. If interested in adding to the advertising page, please complete an application.

The Christmas in July program then began with members rotating between 6 stations to watch demonstrations on several small Christmas projects. Those demonstrating were:

          Bitty Bags –  Laurie S.,

Fabric Gift bags –  Vivian H. and Marion T.
